Sandy has experience working in government, not-for-profit, school and private practice and consultancy workplace settings. Sandy creates a warm & respectful therapeutic environment to explore client difficulties, develop new insights, progressively work towards therapy goals, feel a sense of relief & have access to new and helpful coping strategies. Sandy has an interest in working with children, adolescents, young adults, families and those with neurodivergence. Sandy partners with GPs, psychiatrists, paediatricians, parents and schools to maximise positive outcomes. In treatment, Sandy applies techniques and approaches of Schema Therapy that include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Psychodynamic Therapy and Family Therapy techniques and practical solutions. Sandy specialises in comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessment, including complex diagnostic differential considerations. Sandy has completed a Graduate Certificate in Autism Diagnosis from UWA. Sandy is a board-approved supervisor for provisional psychologists.
